Gecenin en merak edilen konularından biri Brad Pitt'in yardımcı oyuncu ödülünü alıp alamayacağı. Quentin Tarantino'nun yönettiği Once Upon a Time in Hollywood filmindeki rolüyle oyunculuğu dikkat çeken Pitt bu ödüle en yakın isim olarak gösteriliyor.
Pitt daha önce 2014 yılında yapımcılığını üstlendiği 12 Years a Slave filmiyle Oscar ödülünün sahibini olmuştu. Ancak oyunculuğu henüz Oscar'lık görülmedi.
